The Compact Furniture Co. Returns & Refund Policy

At The Compact Furniture Co., we want you to be happy with your purchase. If something is not quite right, we are here to help make the returns process as straightforward as possible.
1. Return Window
You have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must:
- Be in the same condition that you received it.
- Be unused and unassembled.
- Be returned in its original packaging, including any protective materials and hardware.
- Be accompanied by proof of purchase or your order number.

Once your return request has been reviewed, we will provide instructions on how and where to return your item.
Items returned without prior authorisation may not be accepted.
2. Assembly Policy
Because our furniture is designed for specific structural integrity and may show signs of installation once assembled, items that have been fully or partially assembled are not eligible for return or refund unless they are faulty, damaged, or not as described.
Before assembly, we strongly recommend that you:
- Check all product dimensions.
- Ensure the furniture is suitable for your intended space.
- Inspect all components and packaging for damage.
If you discover a fault or damage during assembly, please stop assembly immediately and contact us with photographs of the issue.
3. Damaged, Faulty, Missing Part or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order as soon as it is delivered.
If your item arrives:
- Damaged
- Faulty
- Missing parts
- Incorrect

Where possible, please include photographs of the issue.
If the item is confirmed to be damaged, faulty, missing parts, or incorrect, we will arrange a repair, replacement, collection, or refund as appropriate and at no additional cost to you.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Gift cards
Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights where goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described.
5. Return Shipping Costs
Change of Mind Returns
If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.
We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service, as returned goods remain your responsibility until received by us.
We do not charge a restocking fee.
Faulty, Damaged, Missing Part or Incorrect Items
If the return is due to an item being faulty, damaged, missing parts, or supplied incorrectly, The Compact Furniture Co. will cover all reasonable return or collection costs.
6. Exchanges
The quickest way to obtain a different item is to return your original purchase, subject to approval, and place a new order separately.
7. Refunds
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.
If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 days of approval.
Please note that your bank or card provider may require additional time to process and display the refund.

8. UK Consumer Cancellation Rights
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order from the moment it is placed until 14 days after receiving your goods.
If you choose to cancel after the goods have been dispatched, you may be responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected by this policy.
